The planar decimation trick is something I have missed after 15 years in the industry. To make this workflow completely free (no MOI) I used CAD Assistant (free) to convert the STP/IGES to OBJ (ok mesh results) and then did the rest as in your tutorial. Finally a decent workflow for that pesky CAD data clients keep sending me.
This was a life changer, thank You so much Monsieur Bob <3

Thanks for the video Blender Bob. Have you tried Hard Ops? If so, I'm curious if their Dice would allow one of those kitbash objects to be deformed.

Any chance you can give an introduction to the specs of your machine? Mine wouldn't do that in 11 minutes and probably hang itself and after the 6th restart i would do it one by one and still crash blender trice :D

First of all, thanks for the good tutorial.

I have a question.

When modifying a complex mesh composed of triangular faces,

"Tris to Quads" command from part2 video and

the "Limited Dissolve" command from the part6 video

You used it.

What is the difference between these two commands?

P.s: I didn't speak English well, so I wrote it with Google Translator.

Cool techniques! But you have to do at least (40x81, carry the 1 to the power of 12 + 627) push-ups for making geometry like that! HAHA! I can't wait for next week! Get some sleep mate!
