I once interviewed for an event coordinator role that said there would be weekend work. Thats pretty normal in that field, however any time I asked for more clarity on how frequently that would be needed, they could never answer. That (and other things during the interview process) was a huge red flag to me, so I passed.

My last interview, the hiring manager told me if the owner of the company needs me to jump in to see a client (psw here) I was told to say, yes. Yikes!

Ben- Several years ago I applied for the position of Assistant Executive Director at a local not-for-profit. I was called by the "hiring manager" for a phone interview. I had done my research on the organization and so I asked why this was a position that never existed before and is now being offered. She told me that the weather was warming up and the current executive director likes to play golf a lot during the day and that he was looking for someone to do the parts of the job he doesnt like (fund-raising, day-to-day operations, payroll). I looked up the organization's 990 tax return and found that they were offering me 1/3 the salary of the current executive director! I declined the follow-up in-person interview 😁 Bullet dodged!
