You should also mention that it's not a bad way to get some easy doubloons, as each individual commendation gives you 5 doubloons.

Also, the Artistic Souls category unlocks more than just tattoos. It unlocks eqipment, clothing, and a ship set all centered around music, and it looks sick. Never seen anyone talk about that set

EDIT: a few glitterbeard journals unlock like, a beard and a title or something. There's also a random handful of commendations that give you other stuff aside from tattoos. Don't know all of them, but the Sea of Thieves Wiki has an indepth list of everything
