Why I use MICROSOFT EDGE on my MacBook! (and not Safari)

Safari is a great browser and I've recommended it to almost everyone over the years. However for me personally, it has a few flaws that have started to really impact my workflow in a negative way. Also, Microsoft Edge has recently had a massive update and is now Chromium-based. It also brings with it a heap of really cools upgrades and features that made me finally decide to jump ship from Safari.

Switched from Chrome to Edge, because it still supports extensions I need for work, and it's more RAM effective. That motivated me to try it on my 2013 MacBook pro, and continued using on my 2017 Pro and M1 Air

This is weird, I haven't had any issues with Safari on my M1 MacBook Air. Really happy it hasn't happened to me!

Shifted from Chrome to Edge on Mac last week and loving it till now
On Chrome the fans would kick in within a few minutes of intense work load but with edge its mostly silent !!

Hi, did swipe gestures to go to previous and next tab working for you? I just switched and its not working and I cannot find the setting. On Chrome its working.

Two words: vertical tabs. This feature alone got me to start using Edge for work. It's now my default for work stuff since my job is all in on Microsoft. Otherwise, I use Brave for most browsing and Safari to keep everything linked up between my MacBook, iPad, and iPhone.

I'm going to try it out and see if I agree! I've never been too impressed with Safari as it was crashing on various forms from way back when it was introduced! and, I'm a mac guy from 1987!

I've been using MS Edge on my M1 Mac since day 1. I just love Microsoft Edge. I wish their Android app was as great as their desktop version, I'd really love it if I could use MS Edge full-time on all my devices.

So just disabling disk cache would be enough for SSD health if we want to use edge over Safari? Do you find any adverse effects because your disk cache on edge would be disabled

For "collection tabs", there's an extension called Toby which is pretty cool. Else I just put bookmarks into a folder and then option+click to open all bookmarks in that folder/collection.

Is the MacBook Air and Mac Mini powerful enough for trading options and futures? They only come with eight gigabytes of RAM should you get 16 gigs?

I updated High Sierra to Catalina "MacBook Pro 2011" because it was not supported by EDGE updates. Now EDGE can't be opened and hidden files can't be deleted since under Catalina... It was a mistake because I spent a day with it and it got worse.... can you help me?

Did you notice when your Microsoft edge browser is at full screen it adds a white space bar on top of the address bar? I have tried multiple ways to fix it, and it is just annoying. The same happens with Chrome on full screen. It doesn't happen with Safari.. any ideas on how to fix it?

First time I’ve seen what you look like, I thought all your vids were voice over!

I like Edge, but since I’ve got my M1 Macbook, I’ve been using Safari a lot more and honestly, it’s just so seamless with my Lastpass and iCloud passwords to log in, even down to filling in the 6 digit SMS codes for 2FA.
