Edge has been 100% successful for everything I ever needed it for, specifically to install firefox

This has happened to me at least 17 times now. It's getting annoying now. Pandas keep breaking down my front door

Fun fact: Edge also hides that the Chrome installer was downloaded. Normally, it shows on the upper right of the browser what's being downloaded.

I love how accurate this video actually is.
I stopped using edge cause microsoft kept changing my browser settings without even asking for permission and such behavior is not acceptable to me, otherwise it would be a fine browser but if you treat your customer like that it's your own fault if they don't come back for more.

It's with pride that I can confidently state I have been using IE/Edge for the last 20 years.
Whenever I had to re-download Opera, it was always there for me. Thanks, buddy. See you at the next system restore, I guess.

Edge is, in general, quite usable these days. It's essentially just Chrome with a skin applied + Microsoft account sync, which is really nice in a corporate environment. Edge does have one of the worst and most annoying out-of-box experiences, though. The first time you open Edge you are bombarded with MULTIPLE tabs advertising features and asking you questions, which really slows things down. Microsoft needs to speed that up.

Microsoft Edge literally begging to use him instead of Google 😢

Edge is actually quite good. But the thing is most browsers these days are good and come with plethora of extensions. So it comes down to habit and keeping it consistent. Chrome users don't want to switch. Same with edge, firefox and opera users.

Rip edge. You were a fantastic platform for downloading chrome

The way Microsoft goes out of their way to try and make us use a free product is a pretty good indication that we shouldn't be using it.

I actually recently switched from Chrome to Edge. The browser really isn’t bad anymore, and for Windows, runs MUCH faster than Chrome with all the same features and more. Was genuinely shocked, especially after being glued to Chrome for so long.

Normally I didn't mind edge collecting my data as most of the software does. But when I learned from linus that it collects your browsing data EVEN IF you are using some other browser using system resources, it just made me say f.k it and switch to firefox. Quite happy how it turned out tho.

For those who want to know what the guy said in Arabic
“Fayez, Should I make you a cheese sandwich with me?”
“I’m not hungry”

I have used Firefox for more than 10 years, because it was faster and lighter than Chrome, extension capable as well and just as reliable. Recently though i realized that some pages wouldn't load properly and it was getting slower.
I decided to give poor Edge a chance, and let me tell ya, it's even faster than Firefox, and just as relaible as Chrome. And now it can take extensions as well.
Edge is still suffering from the Internet Explorer legacy. And the fact it didn't had extensions at launch didn't help either. But people should definitely give it a try.

Microsoft : After years of experience and feedback, we have finally made our browser so seamless to use that downloading chrome, firefox, opera becomes easier than ever before

The new Microsoft edge is pretty good to be honest and it doesn't even think my ram as its own house like chrome. There are other better browsers tho.

At this point the only difference between edge and chrome are the Google services integrated, aside from that it's the same thing.
Some Google services are convenient tho, like syncing credentials between Android and Chrome.
I installed Windows 10 and use... Really never had an issue, just disable the auto background startup at launch (unless you always use the browser) and that's it.

Being a web developer, I don't see anything wrong with Edge - with proper developer tools and extensions support.
Browsers like chrome are RAM hungry and if you've a low end laptop which I had for a long time, it would be your saviour!
It's just a tool to get stuff done and if you're able to then there's nothing wrong!

One of the advantages of being a Linux user, is that i can install whatever browser i want by just typing its name without having to even touch Edge.

People will never forget IE, that‘s why they stay away from Microsofts browsers🤣
