I enjoyed the video very much. This is how it goes in the real world. I'm having the same problems with my Chiron locking up about an hour into the print. I'll be troubleshooting it in the next few days. I'll let you know how I get on.

No solder at all, never use solder on moving flexible cables of any type at all. Use a proper crimp and crimp tool.
The routing for those cables out of the box is loose, you have to neaten it up using the supplied zip tie cables. I have printed hundreds of hours and long prints and everything is still as new. No lock ups of any kind. A tip from me is to not print fast with large printers, save the fast stuff for something like an ender 3. or even detailed models etc. The Chiron excels at big prints and it does them very well and very silent. Besides a loose grub screw on a coupler and 2 screws on the dampener that are too long, I would say the QC on mine was very good.

Keep the old hotbed Duff, you can always use it by desoldering the old 4 wires and transfer to new wiring- very easy job I’d do it for you if you where local

My Anycubic Chiron has started not heating the bed as well. I've had the printer for all of about 3 weeks. A ticket has been submitted to Anycubic... We will see what they say.

Also if the cable has heated up and broken then you should replace the whole cable as the heat would change the composition of the metal and allow it to further degrade quickly. This will mean the problems will eventually re occur.

My hot bed was DOA right out of the box. I just bought it and I can't even use it

My Chiron bed keeps heating till max temperature. Can’t do anything about it, once printers on the bed heats up. Any ideas ?

Does the bed run off mains voltage or 24v?

I’ve had nothing but trouble with my Chiron have had to practically rebuild the thing from scratch I could of saved my self some money and got a kit.
