Ankle Strength

📉 A history of ankle sprains can lead to instability and lack of strength in the ankle.

This can lead some lifters to feel wobbly on one side of a Bulgarian Split Squat even years later.

🏋🏽‍♂️ Try this exercise. Keep the heel up off the ground to challenge the ankle to stabilize and pulse in the bottom position.

Hold onto a pole or the wall for balance if needed.

The number of times I have had to drill that into the heads of beginners hahaha.

Of course, the nuance is that it can definitely contribute towards improved proprioception (but that's not the goal)
