Convert Text to Numbers With Negative Sign at the End

In this video I explain how to convert text to numbers in Excel when the cell value contains a trailing negative sign at the end of the number.

This happens with data that is exported from financial systems like SAP. We can use the Find & Replace menu to remove the negative sign, then use the Paste Special Multiply operation to convert the number back to a negative.

Good one, thank you. But I also had a problem, where I was converting the file from PDF to Excel and I had the same issue. When I was trying the steps you listed, one of them dis not work. The text was not identifying. Again, for those who is reading my comment, has nothing to do with the presentation itself. I just do not know how to fix it. I love how clear the explanation is.
