Why do people see this as a problem? We have a huge Indian culture in the UK and this is what the breads, wraps, etc are for. It's so much fun going to an all you can wat with friends and tucking in or over a friends and doing it around the table. We eat toast etc with our hands, bbies and kids use their hands first. Things re mde that way. It's brilliant. Like using chopsticks for chinese food, this is when most people realise the food is a sharing food and NEEDS to be mixed in a side bowl so it sticks together. It's only western culture where you don't often share.

As a native of the Philippines, believe me when I say that eating with utensils took a lot of getting used to. Growing up, when my American friends asked me why I ate my lunch with my hands and not a fork, I asked them why they eat potato chips with their hands and not a fork. They told me its weird, but that was my answer to them with regards to eating food with utensils.

Many years later, I still sometimes eat my lunch with my hands, but only when no one is looking.
