The woman he killed was 82, Mary Preciado was her name! How horrible to live that long, and be healthy enough to be doing yard work, and to die that way!

DUI, vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of an accident all deserves more than 8 years.

This dude gets 12 1/2 years. My 18 yo son was in a marked crosswalk in 2018 and was hit by a guy who was texting. He was hit at 55mph in a 35 zone. He died 3 days later. He never woke up. He was hit so hard it knocked him out of his tied shoes too. And that guy never got any time. The investigators called it a "tragic accident" and left it at that. His insurance paid out only 15k. Which barely paid for his funeral and medical expenses. The justice system is super broken. Where is the justice for my Matthew???😭😭😭

Only 8 years minimum for getting high on fent and flattening somebody's grandma? That's a JOKE. That judge seriously needs to be investigated, absolutely unreal.

8 years for killing someone is a freaking joke. F that judge.

The judge who handed out that ridiculous sentence and let him bond out should serve 20 years.

That sentence made me sick. I used to work as a CO4 in Texas, and quit when a kid got brought in for a 50 year sentence, just for possession of excessive quantities of marijuana. Why are drug charges worse than this?

Huge props to the cop giving emotional support and understanding the problem

How does a judge not give him at least 25 years without parole?

“I will make it up to you, ” he says to his wife. Ugh. What’s he gonna do for the dead lady’s kin? There is NOTHING he can do to make it up to them. Except spend his life in prison.

He had ZERO sympathy for the last poor woman he killed

Crazy how the victim got the death penalty and the criminal got 8 years....

This is how the court system ensures that it has PLENTY of repeat offenders.

He wasn’t remorseful 1% on that call. He was only sorry that he caused his wife problems.

Twelve years for killing someone, eligible for parole after eight. A disgusting example of injustice in america.

The biggest crime here is him possibly only doing 8 years. Judge should be in jail.

He spoke more about his car and the drugs than he did about the woman’s life he destroyed. He should have gotten life in prison.

My 20 year old cousin was hit crossing the street and killed. Just hearing the cop say omg about her injuries hurt my heart. We found her shoes at the scene too on the side of the road. Our family has never been the same. It’s only been 5 months. Praying for her family.

They are natural born, selfish liars. More concerned about his car than the life he took.
