GoPro Hero 3 Wifi connectivity with an iPhone - Setup demo

Showing the built in Wi-Fi feature on my new GoPro Hero 3 Silver Edition.

In this video I show you how to connect your iPhone with your GoPro Hero 3, it's quite simple and hopefully this video will help.

On the side of your go pro theres another button, if you hold it down for about 3 seconds it will turn your wifi on with out having to go through the settings. You can do this before turning on ur go pro and actually turn it on through your phone, aswell as change go pro settings through your phone. Just an easier tip for you.

If you already own an iPhone, this is a great inexpensive way to control the GoPro remotely as well as have a visual display without spending over $150 for a GoPro remote and a LCD touch BacPac. one note: The first time I used it I didn't realize the camera was picking up my phone's volume, so my videos had latent echo. Turn your volume down on your phone first (as he mentioned).

As you’re recording can you see what you’re recording on the hero three?? Found one at a garage sale for 20 bucks thought what the heck haggled it down to 10. I have not messed with it

So you can't really you wifi out doors due to no wifi connections, am I right? It would only work, indoors with wifi or an external wifi device right? I'm looking at the silver 3rd edition gopro but may have to get the 4/black for Bluetooth so I can connect to Ipone when outdoors. What's your advise on this bro? Thanks

Once you type "goprohero" as the Go Pro wifi password, the app will automatically ask you to make a new name\password for your Go Pro wifi. At least that's what I just did.

Can someone help me???? I am trying to setup my hero 3 with my ipad and when I go to my iPads wifi setting I see the gopros wifi but its secured and how the hell am I supposed to know the password!!!
