Hi Rich,
as mentioned on these comments twice. The app is not yet released yet to allow wifi connect to a smartphone till December 14! Your GoPro maybe up to date however, the only one who can use this function are Silver and White Edition!

You can go through the settings or the quickest way is to hold down the wifi button on the left (in looking at the lens) till it goes off

How about posting a video about the range you are getting between the GoPro and your iPhone before the connection cuts out.

Rich we have the GP 3Black also. On the 3Black it says GoPro App not the had to do the firmware update twice and I just gave it to my husband for Christmas. My biggest issue is you cannot play your videos back on your iPad or Smartphone. For the iPad you need a SD adapter from Apple, contacting them today to see what they have for the original iPad. go on the gopro website and go to support and go to update your camera but instead go edit the settings you can change it to whatever

The password is whatever you set it up to be when you download the update. I have a video just on what the password is!

Im in serious need of help haha. I've looked everywhere and can't find anything about this but what is the password for the GoPro 3 black editions wifi? Someone on forums said you have to set it in Cineform. Well when you start up Cineform it only gives you the option to set a GoPro Hero 2. I can't get it to connect to my 3. So basically I can't get on the GoPro's wifi for my phone app, is what i'm getting at.

Your notes below states the black edition upgrade has not been released to allow this function. How come you are able to connect your iPhone to GoPro3? GoPro doesn't een show on my iphone wifi list when I press the wifi button on the camera. At one point I thought I needed the bacpac to get the connection. Advise??

How can I preview in my iphone already recorded videos stored in the gopro? is that possible? I'd like to avoid unmounting it from the helmet and connecting it to a computer to see the videos I just shot... thanks.

I have the same problem as Fadi...I cant connect my GoPro 3 Black to my iPhone or iPad. I have been looking at vids on Youtube, and I seems that other users get the option to select phone / tablet on the wifi settings. I don't get that My GoPro is all up to date. Can anyone help? Thanks
