One noticeable borrowing is trying to connect the quran with the stories of dhul qarnayn with the syriac fables of alexander the great. As well as Syriac homilies or poetry from ephram & jacob of serugh who come before islam. Many other borrowed material from the gnostic texts. The quran also does not specifically say the Torah & Gospel were corrupted or were changed. Its not clear what it is saying but it is not definitively saying they are corrupted/changed.
