Did you get all together or one by one? How long till they started being this trusting?

We got 4 Cockatiels 1 month ago and even with me trying to gain their trust only 2 will eat out of my hand. But that's it. I wanna give them time but some say ooh you have a flock they will never trust you. What is your take?
