The Doctors identity as the protector of the innocent and the defenseless is one of my favorite aspects of the character. They're not worshipped or thanked but they're always there to help. Havent seen a video that really captures that until now.

One of the things in Doctor Who I love, is a good confrontation scene. The best is the War Machines, when the army unit run from the Machine, and the Doctor, clutching his lapels, stands his ground. He puts one foot forward. Then another, then another. Then he straightens his back, and looks into the light of the beast. Just brilliant

Videos like this really highlight either A the writing on the 13th doctor was not as good as the last 4 or B the actress wasnt up to pushing the same power into her performance as the last 4 actors did in similar scenes. I mean i get chills listening to the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th doctors declare their threats to protect but dont get that same feeling of awe and power from the 13th doctor.
