One of over a dozen "Possible" fixes. I wish Microsoft would fix it. Never had this extremely annoying problem on Win 7. Sorry for the rant and thanks for the video.

My disk sky rockets when ever I load the simplest of games, like Minecraft education edition, is that supposed to happen?

Under "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers", I do not have a "Standard SATA AHCI Controller. I only have the "Intel...." one.

In my system, that value was already set to "0". Still facing 100% disk issue. Nothing is working. Already disables suferfetch, sysmain and other not imp services.

I don't have any "controllers" in my device manager. What can I do?

I don't even have the Standar Sata AHCI Controller.

When in Device Manager 'IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers' is nowhere to be found... is there another location for this or is my computer just an idiot?

I do not recomend to do that. Not only not solved my problem but it got way worse!

thanks for this i will try it, it works on HDD too? i got a refurbished pc and the disk usage skyrocketed to 100 while i was playing chess.... i tried hd sentinel and smart program to check how healthy the disk is and they say its ok, , , hope this fixes my problem

Didn't work. After i open 1 application it's back to 100%
