Hi there! I'm writing to you almost in tears. This 100% disk usage has been a bane on my laptop existence. I looked up "solutions" in so many places and it was a lot of stuff with techno talk that it it was really intimidating to try. I even did the full Windows 10 reset (backed up everything) and STILL. Your video was straightforward...easy to understand...personable...and made me feel the sky was not falling. The CHKDSK /F option did the trick and will keep it in mind for the future. LOVE seeing that disk usage at single digits while using it.

Using the laptop for online course (Watching course on tablet and practicing on laptop) so I am all set!

Awesome I had a slow laptop, checked disk usage, 100% most of the time. ran the chkdsk/f then chkdsk/r, then downloaded rkill which immediately reduced disk usgae to about 40% then downloaded malware bytes, ran a scan, it detected 65 items, quarantined these . downloaded defrggler and was 21% defragged so now running the defrag process. Laptop is super fast once again, so simple if you have the right tools. Thank you so much

Hey man I followed your instructions and completed every task and at last after the defragmentation that took almost 7 hours was completed and I did my final restart for the day but then after the restart I quickly double clicked google chrome web browser and waited to see how fast my PC would respond and sadly it was not what I expected, the response was just a tiny bit faster and As I was keeping an eye on the task manager disk percentage it reacted the same way reaching a total of 100% disk usage again. No malware no virus I don’t know what to do honestly, help me out in any way please.

Or buy a ssd drive that is faster than a normal hdd disk

sorry but avast is not free as soon as .it scans the system it asks for money to resolve any issues

Hello, I am sitting here typing this up and I have ran CHKDSK /f & /r on all my drives and I still hear one or more churning away, constant writing!!
