HOMEMADE EGGNOG?!

6 egg yolks
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
pinch of salt
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
ground cinnamon (as garnish)

Separate egg yolks from egg whites.
Whisk egg yolks and sugar until creamy.
Simmer milk, whipping cream, nutmeg and salt on stove.
Slowly add milk mixture to egg mixture; whisk vigorously.
Return complete mixture to stove, whisk with heat until thick.
Remove from heat, whisk in vanilla (optional alcohol) until even more thick.
Blend mixture.
Refrigerate, covered, until chilled.
Serve with cinnamon sprinkled on top.
