No One Is Good Enough to Be Justified by Law

To anyone who says, "We have to earn our salvation," or talks in some way as if Christians do merit heaven, Paul has other things to say. Romans 7 is written by Paul to show how his old self, prior to coming to Christ could not be justified under law alone. It was only when he experienced the grace of God that he could escape the condemnation and slavery of sin.
