I’m seeing a lot of comments being like “this episode is good because we finally got Plagueis in canon.”

1) Plagueis already was canon.
2) When the source material for a character is awesome and well done and Disney ignores it for their own garbage story it’s better to have not gotten it at all. If they wanted to touch Plagueis they’d use the novel. Not headband’s slam poetry smut doodles.

This is crazy, it reminds me of them having “avenger” or something like it on captain marvels plane and implying that the whole avengers initiative was inspired by her rather than captain America. Specifically the stolen valour aspect, the rewriting of history so that they can say, “actually my new thing is kind of the most important thing, and your whole story doesn’t exist without mine”

Ok this is actually an insufferable take. Darth Plagueis is the true lord of the Sith. The Sith have been in hiding for a millennia, it’s incredibly fitting that his first introduction is him in the darkness of a cave, watching from afar, plotting his next move.

Also Plagueis has done this in the books if I recall correctly, he was stalking Sidious and Maul on Coruscant from a tower.

Furthermore, the only thing that George gave us about Plagueis was that monologue from Palpatine in Revenge of the Sith. He didn’t tell us how Plagueis figured out how to create life. The fact that Plagueis was willing to stoop so low to presumably learn the technique from a coven of insignificant witches shows his wisdom, and his willingness to learn any power from any source. It is a testament to his moniker Darth Plagueis the Wise.

Out of everything horrible that this show did, Plagueis’ reveal was the best thing. It was perfect. At this point it feels like you’re just whining for the sake of whining, and you’re not even taking the time to think about what’s happening.

I’m so happy I didn’t waste my time on The Acolyte. It just didn’t interest me in the slightest and to be honest not much has under Disney’s rule of Star Wars with only one maybe two projects that were worth watching
