Never actually heard of anyone who thought Freddy’s sweater was red and black…

Good way to remember the Freddy sweater thing is that Wes Craven said that he used those colors (red/green) because he read that they’re the two most difficult colors for the human eye to reconcile when placed together. So it made Freddy harder to look at, in turn.

Candyman:
Once for fun.
Three times for a scare.
Five times to die.

Slightly paraphrased, but accurate.

In Rosemary’s Baby, during the scene where Rosemary is freaking out over how the baby looks, she has a sudden flashback to seeing Satan’s eyes the night she was drugged, which is how she realizes the horrible truth about her baby. That’s probably where the confusion comes from.

In Germany the movie "Interview with the Vampire" is actually called "Interview mit einem Vampir" which translates to "Interview with a Vampire" :)

Candyman was 5 times, Bloody Mary was 3. At least that's how I remember it.

For "Interview with the Vampire", I think one problem is that unless you specifically put a space between 'with' and 'the', it's going to sound like 'with a', anyway.

A horror movie fact that sticks with me is that Halloween was meant to be a different story each time, not exclusively centered upon Michael Myers.

On the last page of Ira Levin's novel there is a description of Rosemary's Baby, many people confuse this with the end of the film which is very true to the book.
Lector in his final phone call to Agent Starling begins with the words, "Well, Clarice, have the lambs stopped screaming?" Anthony Hopkins accent does make it possible to mistake Hello for Well

I always knew Freddy Krugers sweater was red and green. Never heard of anyone saying red and black.

Marlon Waynes DEFINITELY said "I see white people". Those of us from the one true original timeline know that for a fact. Anyone who doesn't recall that is from the alternate bootleg timeline that split off from ours in the year 2000

God, was the publicity campaign for "The Blair Witch Project" a fun memory! Whether you ended up liking the film or not, you can't deny they really went to great lengths to help its very first audiences believe the film and the story were real (the companion TV special they fabricated about the "missing" filmmakers and aired on television was one of the more convincing details). It didn't last long as everybody caught on quickly, but if you allowed yourself to suspend your disbelief (and if you could stomach the shaky footage), it was a pretty fascinating experience.

I've never heard of anyone thinking freddy's sweater is red and black either. And in one of the sequels he does say "hello clarice"

Hannibal does say "Well Hello, Clarice" in one scene during Hannibal (2001).

In the song, "Troublesome 96" Tupac says, "Say my name Three times like Candyman." I always thought it was a subliminal message.

I distinctly remember the Blair Witch film trailer of the girl saying "I'm so scared" before the screen goes black. I do believe that a lot of unused film footage of movies exist & only may of been shown once at a preview & then never seeing the light of day again.

No. 6 is easy to keep straight:
* “I’m so sorry” - Heather, The Blair Witch Project
* “I’m so scared” - Jessie on caffeine pills, Saved By the Bell

No 80’s kid will mess up Stripe’s name. Spike is the dog from Tom and Jerry, also the main character from Cowboy Bebop.

I remember Hannibal Elector saying Hello Clarice in Silence of the lambs. Some of this is a mind trip.
