FILM DESCRIPTION:
Former toy maker Sam Mullins and his wife, Esther, are happy to welcome a nun and six orphaned girls into their California farmhouse. Years earlier, the couple's 7-year-old daughter Annabelle died in a tragic car accident. Terror soon strikes when one child sneaks into a forbidden room and finds a seemingly innocent doll that appears to have a life of its own.

Having watched Annabelle trilogy, I finally know how the Annabelle Demon was able to escape by luring Janice to unlock the closet where is doll was placed in Annabelle: Creation. The answer is because due to the demon being powerful, blessing alone is not enough to contained the demon. The two priests blessed the room and the closet to contained the demon and they didn't know that this method failed. In Annabelle Comes Home, Ed and Lorraine Warren noticed this after the doll was blessed by Father Gordon. Lorraine then used a special glass box from a church to sealed the doll and thus finally contained the demon. However, blessing frequently is still needed something which was not done in Annabelle: Creation.

The twitching, the growling, the growth spurt, the slow turn around, the shaded face, the crooked legs...yikes. This is one of the scariest things I've ever seen. There's a similar moment in IT (2017) where Pennywise transforms similarly after being impaled through the head. This type of thing is just a whole new level of horror.
