FILM DESCRIPTION:
The happily-married parents of a newborn boy seek the assistance of paranormal investigators in ridding their home of evil in this installment of the popular spoof series produced and written by David Zucker (Airplane!, The Naked Gun), and directed by Malcolm D. Lee (Undercover Brother). Ballet dancer Jody (Ashley Tisdale) and ape researcher Dan have just become the proud parents of a bouncing baby boy when the spooky happenings in their home start causing problems in the workplace as well. With a mischievous demon making their lives unbearable, the miserable couple plant cameras in every corner of their house, and recruit some supernatural experts to help evict the diabolical imp. Charlie Sheen, Anthony Anderson, Regina Hall, and Katt Williams co-star in this horror spoof also featuring Terry Crews, Molly Shannon, Chris Elliott, and Heather Locklear.

I think the real humor comes from the fact this Mama looks better than the CG Mama from the movie Mama.

They need to make another scary movie with cindy and brenda. They really made 1, 2, 3, and 4 as great as they are.

The series definitely lost its charm by the fifth movie's release. Cindy and Brenda aren't here and both have been replaced by an actress not appearing anywhere anymore and a returning actor that only appears on TV while being drunk or having girlfriend issues (at least at that time). The jokes aren't funny at all and there's nothing but tasteless references all over the place with no clever references or parody of any sort. It's sad that it came to this. Scary Movie is really a great series, so why ruining it?

Looking at this 5 sequel is like looking at that super popular kid everybody liked and thought was gonna be successful in the future in high school, now begging on the side of the road and you make eye contact and hoping he doesn't get near you.

Scary Movie 4 = 45% enough, still little chance
Scary Movie 5 = 0%, died, no vibes, tried but already gave up
