They also forget to mention you have to slave in a warehouse for 4-5 years, and only do part time work first 😂 that’s even if your seniority list isn’t that long.

It all makes sense why UPS tractor trailer drivers go so slow, they’re making bank. 😂

They pay very well for these types of jobs, but be carful doing it long term. Worked at an orthopedic surgery center and physical therapy center. A lot of people traded their knees, back, feet, and shoulders for that pay. But they didn’t notice what they were giving away until their 50s.

Dude spent 7 years at the warehouse working 4 hours a day for something that isn’t guaranteed to happen. UPS is the biggest scam of them all.

Been there for 25 years. It’s not an easy job.
But it’s unfortunate…… we no longer work for customers. We work for the shareholders.

Happy to say I gave ups 5 years of my life and I ran away as fast as I could. I’m now an owner operator and so glad I got out that hell hole!

He’s right about the pay when u start- it’s about what Amazon pays but u get decent raises every year. Benefits are also great and top pay here in the DC area averages around $49 and some change. And at least in my hub since we service a big city we have centers servicing different zip codes throughout the city

Honestly if you’re gonna sit in a warehouse for 4-7 years waiting for a driver spot why not go join a union like laborers, electricians, carpenters etc. Work and get your classes done and get paid pretty good too. After 4 years start making 45-50 dollars per hour not to mention PW jobs. And if you become a journeyman you can take it anywhere you want instead of being stuck to one company like ups. Personally I hate repetitive work and imagine doing routes 60 hours a week for the rest of your young life no thanks

These guys deserve every penny, its hard work. I couldn't do a 12 hour shift tho, rather work less for more life.

Respect the hustle! I gave 15 years at the same marketing agency before starting my own company and now completely self sufficient. You can make it, just gotta put in the hard work, stay committed, and learn along the way! God bless.

I was a UPS driver assistant during the Christmas season of 2022. Worked my ass off. Tough job. 330 plus stops a day. Young guy job.

You are a slave to UPS. Forced overtime. Very little family time. get home late Friday night, weekends need to recover BUT the pay is good if you need it. Everything is tracked and you are timed. 1 hour lunch and thats it!

This is the only time “the younger the better” is acceptable 😂

I tried to get a job at UPS last month, they said there was a problem with my application, then they gave me a phone number to call, but no one ever answers. Ive waited on hold like 45 minutes, multiple times, and there's no way to talk to anyone. It's ridiculous. They clearly don't like their employees or prospect hires.

The best part is, when u get to know some of these lonely housewives after being on a certain route for so long.

My brother was loading the UPS trucks from a conveyor belt. Non-stop hard labor. Most people quit.

I work 4 UPS, hv been 4 many yrs & fortunate 2 hv a job but unfortunately under UPS conditions. Now some of what he says is true but consider every hub is different in some way & so is the contract which is negotiated every 3-5 yrs. Example, if u get hired during a current contract which may hv minor changes from the last then u dnt get what last contract offers. Different contracts also apply 2 locations.
Also every hub doesn’t require u 2 start in the hub jst 2 be a driver, u can start as a driver & work yr way up 2 what is called top rate. Yes if he’s been driving 4 7yrs then it is very possible he’s making the $45. It’s also the UPS way (do stupid shit) 2 hv u floating instead of giving u a set route.
