I’m an introvert and I was really nervous at the beginning going to meetups. But I started going to meetups about a month ago and I’ve started fostering some good friendships. Now I’m even hosting meetups even though I’m an introvert. Meetup is great for meeting new people also your age. There are groups that specify age range.
