If you join a walking group be advised. They don't slow down for anyone in my experience. Can't meet anyone if their a quarter mile ahead of you .

Does it show you events where people going are a similar age to you? Is there a way to search these types of events?

No xq you can’t just join!!! You have to have a photo of yourself. How do I upload a portrait from my photos?

Why do you have to pay to start groups. I wanna start a group and went through the whole process for them to tell me I have to pay. That makes no sense to me

If the purpose of the app is to meet people in person make friends and connections then why pay to do that

Are there any other apps similar to meet up that's free to start groups

Hi! Two questions here:
1) Is posible yo create an event for a maximum of people? For example, when It arrives yo 10 persons inscribed, the event don't let anyone else.
2) To inscribe into an even, is mandatory yo have the app. I mean, nobody without Meetup can book a place on one of those events.

I am an Organizer of a Meetup Group in Kamloops BC, Friends of Kamloops. We have been hosting events for the past three years. Many of my members have difficults with the platform. I was looking for a tutorial that would help us all to better navigate and use the application. There are no tutorials that are current. Would you have any suggestions for us to use? Thanks Kelly

I think it is a wonderful idea especially for people that move to an area where they don't have a lot of familiarity or they don't know anyone

but why do admins of a group can only make meetups? why won't everyone that are part of a group? why dont make a chat for each meetup to see who actually goes? why not pick a type for the meetup and and see the type icon in the map? the app sucks and can be better.

I’ve just watched this, I thought it was great until you didn’t know your geography and how could you possibly not know what LGBT stood for. You really should have looked those things up before you published this.

Some nice people, but in amongst the weird, obnoxious and socially challenged. Problem with Meetup is dicks with no other social life tend to go to every event. If you meet some of them at one event, it is no fun to meet again. Problem is, in my experience there tends to be a nucleus of group dullards with a churn of new members. The dullards scare people off fairly soon who are replaced with other newbies and the cycle continues.
