My battery suddenly drains. Fairly new Charge 5. I am not going back to Fitbit but look into more reliable alternatives. Doubt if customer service will do anything about it.

Thanks for posting this. My fitbit charge 5 is still not holding a charge. It dies in about 26 hours. Literally need to charge it every day now. Whereas, a few months ago, it would hold a charge for almost a week straight

Same issue with my Charge 5. Few hours of battery life and just now the watch started to turn off and turn on by itself continuously until the battery dies.

I had 2 fitbit charge 5 with the battery drain problem, my fix was to open them up, unconnect the battery and reconnect it and for some reason it dosen't have the battery drain problem anymore before they lasted only 2-3 hours and with some weird reboots, now it's been on for 24 hours and are at 73% i think it resets something when you unplug the battery that fixes the problem, this will most likely void your warranty so be cautious

My six month old watch starting this battery issue a week ago. I have been in contact with Fitbit twice. Suggested fixes do not work. Charge lasts less than 24 hours. Plus, it repeatedly notifies me to add credit card via Fitbit App. Will contact Help Folks to request a replacement. What a waste.

Mine I overnight charge for 2 nites, cured the battery drain issue. Now the battery last more than a week between charges, and please use the ori charger

All of fitbits newer watches have some of the other bug now since google acquired fitbit. Google has a well known track record of destroying every company they acquire to reduce competition. Many users are speculating that this is just them getting ready to force customers to buy their pixel watches and other future wearables. Better to sell your charge 5 while it still has some value and move away from fitbit while you still can.

One week ago my Fitbit went from lasting one week on a charge to less than 12 hours. I've gone through a number of videos but have found no useful resolution. Not impressed with the Charge 5.

Having the same issues. Charge holds for an hour, then goes dead. They know it's a problem, but refuses to fix it. Offered me 50% discount to buy another one. I told them, why would I buy another damage Fitbit from them. They should a least replace everyone's battery or send another one.

This is my third new Fitbit charge 5; they replaced the first two free. Now my third one drains four or five times a day. Useless. All three lasted around a year- then worthless.

Battery-wise I got spoiled by the Charge 2. 6 to 7 days of charge when it was new 7 or 8 years ago.
I must say here and now I did get a Charge 5 in May, 2023 and it lasts maybe 3 days and takes much longer to fully recharge. The shit with one hour of uptime is a massive bug and I'm sorry people are having that or had that but I haven't. One good thing though I can read the time on the Charge 5 without glasses first thing in the morning.
But still, I'm gonna seriously think about getting a good, old simple Charge 2...again. 7 days of charge and it does four things I require and does them well. Simple. 😊

Fitbit does not stand behind its products. Do not purchase the Fitbit 5.

I fixed my Charge 5's battery drain by getting an Amazfit Band 7. It connects to Strava, which is where all my friends are, so I'm all good.

I have been using a fitbit since they came out and this is my second charge 5 that has died and have the battery issue, they are going to lose alot of consumers starting with me. I am looking for another smart watch I already have 2 apple watches but needed something smaller for working out and other activities.
