Questions asked in JEE Advanced are based on critical thought processes rather than direct application of concepts. For preparation of JEE Advanced, students have to focus on problems based on multi concept applications.

Ashish Arora Sir has taken up a case of Sliding of a Block Over a Trolley which is important for select in IIT.

Ok to everyone asking the case for F=26N .When u will consider F=26N then for lower block acc will always be 1.25 as 25 is lim fricn and now for the above block B there will be lim fricn=25N + pseudo force 1.25*10 that accounts for total force=37.5N, so for sliding force has to be greater than 37.5 till then both will move with same acc

It can also be solve by assuming that both block r moving together and then check the value of friction if it is greater than limiting friction then our assumption is wrong and block moves separately

As the force is 26N then why it wont acceleate

For those who find block over block cases a nightmare pls study it from the pim series of physics galaxy . these questions after that would be easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Sir is it assumed that coefficient of static friction = coefficient of kinetic friction ?

what force is responsible for the motion of B in F=20N case??

Sir in this case net force is applied on trolly so why we are taking system's mass as 30 kg
We should take only 20 mass kg
This case ia similar to block on block

Sir we can directly see that 20N force applied on B is smaller than limiting friction 25N...so y not calculate acc. Directly? By putting F equals to 20N by 30? Why use eqn of motion for A? Ans is same. Plz explain

Sir, the acc of B which you have calculated is wrt block A Or wrt ground frame ?

show a case of three blocks one on another with lower one with greater mass than above and apply force on the lower block

sir what will be the situation when F=26N will sliding occur b\w blocks

Sir, if a force of 26N is applied then why there is no slipping between the A and B. As A runs by 26-25/10= 0.1m/s2 and B runs by 25/20= 1.25m/s2. Sir please explain me why force greater than 25N and less than 37.5N does not cause sliding? I am confused.
