Only difference in both cases is direction of friction. Remaining parameters are same. So by changing the sign of mu in first case, we can get result of second case direct for time saving .
Is it correct?

Why sometimes you are using easy questions and all of a sudden somewhere in between out of the blue hard question comes solution also so big could not solve it and even the understanding part was hard

Sir here direction of acceleration is not same then why you have taken it as combined mass please reply in order to calculate net force acceleration

If force is applied on edge of 3rd block in contact with 2nd block will 2nd block experience a normal force from 3rd block

Sir while writing fbd for block 3 why are you not considering contact force (between block 2and 3 ) tension and frictional force (between block 1and 3)?
