Yeah, they don't sell our private information. They are so nice that they give that information for free.

0:02 - 0:10 : That must be why you overcharge them for your hardware and software? $1000 dollars for a laptop with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB SSD that cannot be upgraded? Come now Mr Cook.

0:19 - 0:35 : That must be why some guy was able to brute force attack your network and steal celeb nudes.

0:37 - 1:40 : Says the CEO of a company that told the NSA about exploits in their software and *purposely* didn't patch it, so that they can snoop on us. I use a lot of Google services for "free"(Chrome, Google Search, YouTube, Gmail, etc). I don't mind them selling my "personal data" to make money to give me access to more awesome free stuff like YouTube.

If what he is saying is true, and I hope it is. Apple would be much better than google and facebook in that regard. Privacy is important. I found out the other day that "Google Play Services" was asking for my location on my android phone about every 30 seconds. Chrome while doing any search as well.
That is scary. the whole privacy situation is. It's like your devices are not yours anymore when you accept those long ass privacy policy agreements that you sometimes need a lawyer to freaking understand. who would make that effort...

That's good that they're committed to keep user data as private as possible. I just doubt it's sustainability. Apple is a publicly traded company, if profits dip lower than investors would like, eventually they're gonna have to look at monetizing on some portion of user data. I am using GMail much less than I used to, the ads within my mailbox are really lame. OutLook is a lot simpler, and has no ads.

Much rather pay for functional hardware than some scrapped up features thrown onto a screen #justmyopinion

it's so pathetic that apple uses every opportunity to advertise their products.
