THE HUMOURS OF WHISKEY - The Apex Singers

Our fresh take on the traditional Irish tune, 'The Humours of Whiskey', written by Joseph Lunn in around 1825. The word 'Poitin' is used throughout the song and is a term for illegal whiskey. Illegal because taxes were not paid to the British government for its creation. The Irish have many different names for it which you'll hear throughout the song.

Every time I have listened to too much modern music/lyrics I search out this song to reset my brain to how lyrics can be. Its so playful, fun, intelligent, catchy, and takes you on a ride. Poitin is and isnt a whiskey, some forms of potin are the original whiskey, whiskey is just aged poitin. However potin can be made different ways and not all ways can be made in whiskey making, so its, technically its own drink. I liked this version it was fun.
