THE HUMOURS OF WHISKEY - The Apex Singers

The second single from our new album Stravaig is our take on the traditional Irish tune, The Humours of Whiskey. Written by Joseph Lunn around 1825, this tune is in praise of the miraculous properties of Poitin, which is an Irish term for whiskey. Although this potent liquor could be sold legally it was often illicitly distilled on farms to avoid taxation by the British government.
