I've listened to this little jig about 50 times today
My crops = watered
My ears = blessed
My soul = saved

Oh please God, release an album of you singing a capella Irish folk tunes. My life would be utterly complete.

The idea of a traditional song about whiskey is so cute to me for some reason. Like, some guy was like “I love whiskey so much I'm going to sing about it in front of my friends”, and his friends were like “Hey man I like your song. How does it go again?” and then they sang it together and someone sang it in another pub and it continued like that. That’s adorable.

Oh my god, when he sang, 'sweeter than honey and stronger than steam, ' I think I died. So soft and so goddamn ethereal. The next line tho, brought me back to life with a vengeance, the power in his voice!!! Wow.

Come guess me this riddle, what beats pipe and fiddle
What’s hotter than mustard and milder than cream
What best wets your whistle, what’s clearer than crystal
Sweeter than honey and stronger than steam

What can make the dumb talk, what can make the lame walk,
What’s the elixir of life and philosopher’s stone
And what helped Mr. Brunnell to dig the Thames Tunnel
Sure wasn’t it whiskey from [ould Inisowen]

So stick to the cratur’ the best thing in nature
For sinking your sorrows and raising your joys
And boys, [I oft’n?] wonder, if lightning and thunder
Was made from the plunder of whiskey, me boys.

How am I supposed to settle for ordinary men when he exists

Eta: 3 years later and I'm STILL getting outraged replies from men. Maybe don't wave your own mediocrity around like a flag, my dudes 😬😬😬

The softness. The yearning. The inherent ache of it all. No wonder us gays flock to him

How is this so mesmerizing, I can't stop listening. It sounds like warmth and sweet spring water at the same time, if that makes sense.

The way he’s dropping crystal clear notes with incredible intonation and pronunciation completely unfazed.... we don’t deserve this man
