I can’t wait for JimyLongs to come out with his own turning tools! The prototypes look nice hopefully he does his own version of the ergo-turners as well

Not just picking the locks, but being a font of knowledge in the community. I appreciate that you shared with Locksport international Longhorn lockpicking group. Thanks again for the good company.

So many locks, I love it. I run through ten a day, from No.3 to American 1100

I love this. I would like to practice the same way. Guess it's time to save up for a bunch of locks 🤣

Great to see your process. I remember that video from LPL when he brought out a heap of 410's and breezed through them. I have spent the following years since then trying to acquire multiples of locks to do similar practice, however with the hand issues I had I never got to do it. Now I am trying to get back into picking practice and being reminded of this process has helped me to change the way I practice and those locks are now getting found in the lab and will become a part of my picking practice. Thanks for taking the time to do this video. Those prototype tensions seam quite versatile, you didn't need to change to another for all three types of keyways. That is really good. By the way youtube stuck five adds in this video really interrupted the flow. Cheers

I've had this video in my Watch Later queue for a while now. Why I didn't watch it earlier is a mystery to me but it's just what I needed to see.
When i started I would easily pick my Master#3 but now i have difficulty with it. Its almost like I regressed. Like the more I know about pins and such the harder it got. Over thinking I suppose. I'll keep practicing. Thanks!

Building muscle memory is important, I pick a round of 100 brinks 40mm, 20 masterlock no3, 10 masterlock no1, and 15 ace 38mm every night before bed. Takes me about 30 minutes

Always great to see how people do the practice sessions, I usually do somewhat similar by having a collection of practice locks that I rotate through and then maybe 1 or 2 to work one if I feel like it, thanks for sharing

But closing all the shackles at the end of a session is the victory lap!

it's great to have an insight into how people practice this hobby. So far, I've only been doing some lock picking after the gym in the evening. It's a great exercise for the fingers and the hands... probably pretty good for the nervous system as well.
Right, now I'm having trouble figuring out how to lift pins. I can totally feel all of them in the lock and somewhat know their positions, but knowing when they are set or whether the pin that I'm touching is binding or just basically blocking because I'm giving the lock too much tension, is pretty puzzling to say the least.

Good stuff! I do the same thing, except I also like to pick the A1100s, then gut them, repin them to a different key, replace the drivers, rinse and repeat. Don't sleep on raking locks with security pins though haha, that's its own fun in itself

Nice to know that I’m not the only one who does this.

I love everything you said. I just got done watching LPL on how he practices with giant carabiner full of American Locks. Also his bins of Kik cylinders is amazing and I need to work on getting some ebay deals. Thank you for the advice and that was fun watching you pick them all.

Question: Does it matter if their keyed alike, does it just become like picking the same lock 10 times? Or does each lock have a different feel and binding order?
