Sony Doesn't Know How to Pronounce SYMBIOTE? | Venom Meta-Theory

Today I have somewhat of a meta-theory relating to Sony's 2018 movie Venom. The Spider-Man spinoff movie's trailer showed that the characters of the movie mispronouncing the word symbiote. But mysteriously, this was fixed in the final film.

Brits actually pronounce symbiote like 'sim bi ote'. You go back to the old 90s cartoons and its pronounced 'sim bee awt', so if we go by that then both sony and the mcu are pronouncing it wrong

She said “We call them sym-biotes” like they invented the word. Not “They are symbiot”. Maybe it was some cute re-naming that…ended up being the exact same word? Or maybe the screenwriter didn’t even know that was a real word. Or maybe it isn’t. Is it symbiont?

Jenny Slate actually joked about the whole thing in an interview. I think they did another take after everyone spotted the pronunciation. Honestly, I really never looked at it as a big deal. People sometimes have different interprets of interpreting terms.
