The saddest thing I ever heard was a recording of a 911 call from a lady trapped on the 87th floor of the North Tower I believe.
She said it was dark from the smoke and unbearable hot . She kept saying " I'm going to die. I know I'm going to die" 🙁

It’s actually quite scary to think that the photos we see, post-plane crashes, inside the WTC that were taken by people who possibly could’ve perished in either collapse, had they not made it out in time. In other words, they captured the inside of a literal death trap where many others died. 😟

I visited there in 1976, a couple years after it was finished. I never dreamed it would last less than 30 years. I knew someone back in 2001 who worked at a local news station. He said the raw footage coming to them was so disturbing and gruesome, he couldn't sleep. Anyone who chose to fall should not be judged. We don't know what we'd do with a blow torch at our back. They weren't suicides, they were murdered. Rest in peace.

The older you get the more you realize how bad the conditions were in the upper floors of the towers!! Hundreds died from jumping alone

20 Plus years on, I still cant get my head round how horrific this must have been for all involved, From the planes, to the people in the towers. To the rescuers

We went to the top of the North Tower in 1999 ... I never felt fear, but my husband said when he looked down he thought "No building should be built that high" He is no coward by any means but he thought it was creepy!

Imagine the swing of emotions being in the second tower that was hit knowing the first tower hit and thinking about how lucky you were to not be in that tower and being told not to evacuate only to get hit minutes later and the effects being significantly worse.

Such a horrible day.

Thank you for sharing these picks, that day impacted my life. I met a woman that was lost for a week and survived by miracle. She needed many surgeries and she is blind because of the severe wounds she got that day when a tower fell on her.

People need to remember... In those days, there were no solid-state "SD card" or hard-drive-based CCTV recorders to speak of. Back then, everything was recorded on time-lapse videotape recorders. And there was no offline/cloud recording. So if the videotape machines doing the recording of the events was damaged in the collapse, then most likely the footage is gone forever.

2:18 crazy part about that photo is the lower part leads into the underground mall. So the fact that you see sunlight at the lower windows means the mall is gone. if you have seen the Naudet video this photo is taken exactly where he was standing when the south tower goes down. That thing that looks like a briefcase between the two plants is actually the command center post where the guy with the mustache was putting information into it.

These pictures just give me an excellent idea of how terrifying it was inside of those buildings that day, I even heard a story from a survivor somewhere that when the building shook/swayed (from the impact of the plane) they thought the building would collapse immediately.

ive really enjoyed watching your videos about 9/11 its really sparked some interest in the topic for me. I went to the memorial in 2019, when i was around 12, so it didnt mean much to me what really happened, but now me and my dad are going back and your videos really helped me learn a lot about that day, thank you!

Had a lot of friends and coworkers there. My uncle was underwater welding in Manhattan and grabbed a camera to snipe some photos. His testimony of body parts, dust and everything else was crazy to me when I was younger. Wish I could find those photos he took.

The picture of the North Tower lobby after the South Tower collapse is so eerie knowing that probably 10-20 minutes later it would all be gone too.

Mentioned this about the fountain in a previous video of yours.

"In regards to the fountain, If you look at a video that showed the WTC from a hotel room in the Millennium Hilton, you can see the fountain struggling to run not long after the North Tower was hit. The water starts and stops for a while. My guess is, the returns in the fountain got blocked by the thousands of pieces of paper that came from the building after the plane hit, or the debris on the fountain dammed the water too much and prevented it from flowing down properly. But I think it was the former."

Shortly after 911 I went to a performance where I live in Sydney Australia of local artists to commemorate the event, and raise funds for US fire fighter families. An Aussie man spoke. He was actually in the lobby of one of the towers at the time. He said he visiting friends in NY and was standing in a half tix queue (?) to buy tickets. They heard the plane hit, and one person in front of him turned and said ‘RUN’. They ran outside. Glass was falling from the building so they took shelter on the other side of the road (or plaza?). He said he watched as things were falling down. He saw people fleeing from the building. He saw a woman walk out just as a pane of glass fell on her. It severed her arm. He ran to her and tried to help her. He said he saw bodies still strapped in airline seats, but only their torsos. Arms, legs, heads were missing. He and another man tried to help people fleeing even before the first responders arrived. I could tell he was in absolute shock at what he had seen and been through.

The unreleased footage you refer to:

It was a construction workers disposable camera who was there for whatever reason. Rumor has it that it was only seen by two FBI agents who contacted his family to "return" the photos (some of them had him during the attack, looking terrified) They said they did not want them, nor did they want them ever released to the public and that was that. They were probably destroyed.

The smoke became more concentrated as the fires were generating more dark smoke than was escaping from the broken windows and various holes made by the planes. This vented through to the very top of the building, carrying embers which inevitably started new fires. The huge fire that you can see on the west side of the North Tower at around the 104th floor after 10am was likely started in this way as were many others.
