Wow. I was really looking forward to using desktops because I thought you could change what icons appeared on the desktop and toolbar. But if you delete one or add one, it changes on all of them. This seems kinds pointless to have with the exception to a small few.

So it allows for (1) different open programs, and (2) different backgrounds. But, the icons are all the same...utterly ridiculous. It's different desktops ONLY if ALL desktop attributes can be changed including icons, taskbar, widgets, etc., everything but maybe the start menu (a whole other topic).

Is there any way to show different icons/files for each desktop, without interfere the others? for example, a Gaming desktop where it shows all my games' icons/shortcuts. Then, a Work desktop without those Gaming icons, but with only work files. And, of course, if i create a file, it wouldnt be created in the other desktops, only in THAT one. Is that possible? That would be REALLY REALLY useful, like... REALLY A LOT. If not, then the desktops function wont be that usefull as ppl say, bc when I use something, I close it. Everyday, before going to sleep, I turn off my pc. It's not usefull like this...

Maybe a Check Box hidden in the settings, that ables that...? :(

I hate to hurt a synthesizer's feelings but I agree with Rusty 96 that this is pointless. If I change something on one it changes the others. How can this be practically applied/

Due to various reasons, I had to switch to Windows 10 full time, from mainly using MacOS.
The lack of good Virtual Desktops is one of the things I really miss.
I am not convinced that W11 is doing it properly until I see for myself.
It is still lacking features that OSX has had for 15 years.

Can't I have different icons and folders on each desktop? That's what I want. I don't want one desktop to have all of the icons. They are too cluttered that way.

Whenever I open an app, the apps from the main virtual desktop appear on the 2nd virtual desktop. I am using a dual monitor setup. So it is just cloning whatever app I have from the main virtual desktop. I want something different apps from my 2nd virtual desktop.
