Low pressure isnt necessarily easier to control than high pressure though... If you're doing an outline or aura type thing, the high pressure can will actually give you a more consistent (width) line than the low pressure, even if your control isn't all there yet. Low pressure is easier for fine detail, yes, but it will also be less forgiving for toys with less stable hands. Too much control ends up being a con at one point, especially to those who don't know what it is exactly they're controlling.. just speaking from experience

My older friend gave me years ago a tip about can control when i was toy😁 to practice simple shapes like square, triangle and circle and try make them as best looking as possible. Also different sizes from tiny to medium, large etc. That was massive help. If you start graffiti try 100 squares etc you will learn a lot before trying to do piece. 🙌

Fun fact: cans you buy in the stores, like Lowe's, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, etc., usually don't have good pressure which means they can't really "flare".

Aye man, just gotta say.
You're probably the most authentic dude on YouTube when it comes to graff tutorials n what not.
Everyone else is either way too serious or trying to hard to be cool. You seem natural behind a camera.
Thanks for the great content man! Keel it going

Im just starting out with graffiti and i made a list of all the inportant aspects:

# PRESSURE
-low pressure cans for more control

-high pressure cans for filling and flares

# CAP PRESSURE
-the more pressure you apply to the cap, the more comes out and the thicker the lines are

-applying pressure to the back of the cap (even a lot of pressure) makes the line thin
and applying a TINY bit of pressure at the back makes a REALLY thin line

# CAP SIZES
-fat caps: 4 finger larger spray (more filled in)

-skinny caps: much smaller spray (about 2 fingers)

# WALL TECHNIQUE
-the closer you are to a wall, the thinner and opaque-er your lines going to be, but more dripping risk

-the farther away to the wall, the pain gets less opaque but less dripping risk

# SPEED
-the slower you move the can, the clearer the line will be and less dustier. also you get
more control

# FLARES

-to make a successful flare, start farther away from the wall and move the can closer. don't forget
to wait for the paint to catch up to the wall before swinging the can

-the more you angle the can, the more dusted-out the line is

Please more videos like this! Seeing crazy nice pieces step by step is nice, but for someone like me, these videos give em something to practice and use right away to improve my game

I understand that people would like to learn about can control. But in my case it was great trying out a new cap or a new can for the first time and trying different caps on different cans . I still love the sound of a rattling can. When you always bomb and then you have all the time in the world it's easy to do a line . Just keep painting .

Damn. I've been writing for almost ten years and been watching your videos for a vast majority of those. Still learned something new today. Good job, keep it up!

Never met you, but went to Marshall same years with King) Robert B. I wrote SHAE OTR. I was more a tagger/bomber. I'm 52, started practicing again bout 10 years ago. I thought I needed the best paint. It didn't matter until I literally slowed down and took my time

This was so usefull. I'm going to be doing my first mural soon, and the spray paint shop doesn't have samples on what the spay techniques look like. So this was great!

I spent 2-4 hours outside and my pinky and ring finger are aching. At first my lines were huge and I played with the fats and skinny. It wasnt until the cans started to get lighter as the time went (because of use). Two or three hours later I was thinking about all the things you said and it started to click. Let the rim of the can touch the wall and light pressure and my lines started to get thinner. I decided to give it a rest and try again another day. I must say i regret buying the montana blacks if i knew thats how fast the paint was going to come out. I feel my lines would have been much better from the start with golds.
