"If Costco is unsatisfied with a product, it just creates its own."
Damn okay.

This has to be the best Costco commercial in existence. They should pay you

I know a guy I grew up with that works at Costco and last time I heard he loves it. When you treat your employees right they will move mountains for you, I don't understand why it's so hard for business owners to understand that.

Basically Costco is playing the long term game at the expense of short term profits. And it shows year after year.

I’ve worked at both Amazon and Cosco. At Cosco they treated me like family, at Amazon they treated me like an animal.

Also impressive is the fact that Costco don't spend a dime in marketing

The tea is sweet today.

I'm constantly amazed at how fast you can check out of Costco. 2 employees at every register. Simple but brilliant, reminds me of stores years ago with checker and sacker.

There's a story where during a conference with some of the higherups at Costco, it was pitched that the price for the hot dog and drink combo should be increased to match inflation. It caused a fight and the founder had told the current ceo "If you change the price of the f*cking hot dog, i will kill you"

Costco almost eliminates choice paralysis - the paradox of choice. Fewer choices = less anxiety = happy customers

No lie I just considered getting a Costco membership just from watching that video.

I work at Costco and love it. One thing that is touched on at the end of the video to expand on... We don't lose people. Ok we do, but Costco's employee retention rate is insane. They give you inexpensive high quality healthcare so that you will use it and stay healthy. They pay you well, and keep their hours reasonable so that you can have a life outside work. If you are constantly losing and replacing people your business suffers greatly.. Mistakes, customer service, efficiency. One trained, experienced person that feels valued will do a better job than three who do not.

I studied Costco in my business management class in college. They really know what they are doing, even 5 years after the fact. Good job Costco.

I support Costco mainly for how they treat, pay and invest in their employees unlike Amazon or Walmart.

Costco actually pays their employees living wages.

Also, my contact lens purchase was cheap enough that the membership price didn't even matter.

My head almost exploded when he mentioned 21 dollars per hour... this business does everything that seems self destructive but has the opposite effect, but succeeding with such high wages like this is just too impressive.

Him: "all these stores have something in common"
Me: "they suck"
Him: "they suck"
Me: "well that was rude"

costcos is proof that designing a business putting quality before profits can be quite profitable and sustainable...

I don't even know why I'm watching this. I live in Nepal and there isn't a single company that you mentioned in the video in Nepal but it was weirdly interesting.
