Wiring a Massive Plug: We enjoy this electrical work!

Industrial plugs don't get much bigger than this Scame 125 Amp industrial outlet. Here's what we did to wire it using 50mm sq HO7-RNF. To keep the ends nice and tidy, we use some bootlace ferrules and crimp them down using our new Klauke hydraulic crimping tool.

It's a little extreme, but I do enjoy the new USB cables

Think you're the first sparkie I've seen showing proper torquing. It's so important, under torqued lugs lead to electrical fires.

I used to make up all the cables, connector cables, power cables, computer cables, etc. for Locomotive's. This video makes me homesick, as I've been retired ten years. I'm just an old sparky
THANK YOU FOR THIS PRETTY WORK !!!

Try doing this in the cold!! I had to splice one of these on a drilling rig in Northern Canada. -55 degrees Celsius. Used the exhaust of the truck to heat the cable up. That was 20 years ago and I’m still cold.

Finally a trailer plug that doesn't break every 2 weeks!

I used to build remote oil field control boxes. Lots of wiring! I NEVER did anything like this, and I love it.
Another example of how amazing we can work with the right tools!

The RTX 5090 power connector looks great. This would definitely fix the melting issue.

This was so satisfying. And the comments are great, seeing the jokes from different internet communities (PC jokes, trailer jokes, electrician jokes) showing you where people came from in the recommendations. Awesome :]

if u were in germany u could start from start again, because in german the PE cable has to be the longest so if u rip the plug off the PE is the last cable to go off

I always forget to put the collar on before I start doing things 😆 then I get done and I’m so mad at myself!

This is a much better setup than we had in the Army in the late 60's.
We had to solder connectors together for our 15KW generators that powered our 292 comsec vans.

Excellent work. Ive been wiring tiny 26awg connectors for the past 2 days, this is the extreme opposite of what im working on right now lol
