As a Christian who has strong faith and an strong values, i have to admit, in the interest of honesty, that I don't attend church as much as i would like to, or as much as I should for that matter.. With that being said, one noticable thing i want to point out is that the most compatible matches in dating that I've experienced, and many of the happily married couples i know well or have been acquainted with, have met their significant others through their church, or though church functions.. i can only conclude that the main factor that allows these successful relationships, is the high amount of commonly shared ideologies and values between them.. Even when the relationships don't end up working out long term or in marriage, they still provide an overall positive experience, and fruitful learning experience, with lessons that you can carry with you into your future relationships..

My girl was a hard-core lib when we started dating, she had a problem with how I spoke in the beginning, 10 years together this September, she is now more conservative than liberal. You can show them the way if you put in the time and show them that we're not the bad guys the media wants us to be.

I married a Democrat. Our views are opposite. I’ve slowly brought her to center as she has me. Basically we have two hot topics that keep us from aligning. Abortion and 2A. She has made strides in the 2A department. I carry daily everywhere.
I was adopted and born the year before abortion was made legal. She had an abortion. I could not exist if Roe v Wade was a year earlier. We agree to disagree on abortion.

We love each other and do great together. Love conquers all.

There's a difference between people who have factual political beliefs and mainstream political beliefs. I'm more center that leans conservative and wife is progressive with a grasp on actual reality, but we don't hate each other over our beliefs and normal people with different political views still have a lot more in common than they realize if they would just talk civilly
