Thanks for the info. As a meetup participant (not an organizer), I'm finding it hard to sign up for events where obtaining membership has become a source of frustration. Groups of interest, IMO, are too restrictive. I want to get going. I want to meet people, but meetup is making it very difficult for me to do so. Any advice, please?

Hi! Two questions here:
1) Is posible yo create an event for a maximum of people? For example, when It arrives yo 10 persons inscribed, the event don't let anyone else.
2) To inscribe into an even, is mandatory yo have the app. I mean, nobody without Meetup can book a place on one of those events.

I would be new, and I'm somewhat of a hermit/loner in relationship with a couch potato. I'm nervous about joining a group where everyone knows eachother and feeling like an outsider. any advice?

Hi thank you for all of your advice it's been very helpful; I wanted to know how could I go about creating and organizing my own group meet through the app. Do I have this option or do I only have the option to join meet ups that are already established?
