New eye drops may help treat cataracts

Cataracts are one of the leading causes of blindness in the world. LSU AgCenter researchers have come up with an eye drop solution that shows promise in reducing and preventing cataracts. LSU AgCenter correspondent Craig Gautreaux has this report on their unique discovery.

It will take forever to get approval from the FDA (who looks the other way when it comes to experimental drugs labeled as vaccines). Meanwhile, diet appears as the one of the better ways to slow down the progression.

This is wonderful news!  There are so many humans (and animals) that suffer from cataracts and don't want surgery.  I was born with one so I'm not sure if the drops could help...I've been told by numerous eye surgeons that surgery would not help since I had it from birth.  I hope they make it affordable when it is approved.
