Hey Collin, I must respectfully disagree with you on a few things. Firstly, Nero's persecution was limited to the city of Rome, and was not nearly as bad as Diocletian's persecution. So why would Revelation be about Nero? Also, Irenaeus (early church father) talked about the church being suddenly "caught up" from the Tribulation. He also said it was a waste of time to ascribe the number to a man, as it can be fitted to many names, and that the number was clearly 666 (All in Book V, chapter xxix and xxx of Against Heresies). And if the millennium is happening now, Satan's chain is way too long. He is supposed to be chained up in the Bottomless Pit, and it certainly does not seem that way.

Fight for Truth seems to be holding the view of the Mark of the Beast that the 7DA have. I totally disagree. How can only those with the Mark buy and sell, if there is no physical Mark, but rather submission to a belief? You can't know who to buy and sell to because you won't know their belief.

I agree with you on many, many things and appreciate the call to be discerning and to fight for truth. I have studied theology for many decades and have mulled over eschatology pretty extensively. I have many years of training in this area from a Biblically sound university and seminary. I have read many books and writings from various positions and have some concerns about a postmillennial view and the primary teachings of that position. From what you stated in this video, I would see that you hold to more of an amillennial view, unless a re-definition of postmillennial is now on the table. I do come from a Premillennial viewpoint and again, have looked at this view as objectively as I can with studying Scripture. For this topic, I have spent a lot of time in the final chapters of the Gospels, Daniel, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Isaiah and other passages dealing with this area in the prophets and the epistles and the book of Revelation. At this point, I am still a Premillennial.
Be careful about setting up a strawman. I am not aware of very many people who hold a Premillennial viewpoint that take the entire book of Revelation and absolutely everything in it literally. There are certainly passages that are purely figurative or symbolic. I also see that the majority of it is not figurative, but rather indeed literal. My position is very similar to that of John MacArthur or the late John Walvoord. The strawman I speak of is saying that all premillennial folks take 100% of the Book of Revelation to be purely literal and that no figurative or symbolic elements are contained in it. Let all of us be like the Bereans and be students of God's Word, not simply seeking out answers or trying to make sense of our times with what is contained in His revelation, or trying to determine future events or how present events are described in the Scripture. Rather, let us first and foremost seek to allow His Word to continue to change us, convict us, guide us and encourage us on, spurring us on to good works.

WoW! Colin. I always thought that the church , ALL of us " born again " believers should be ready to go through the entire tribulation period because I saw no clear scripture to indicate otherwise. ( 1st Thessalonians 4 v. 16 17 18 ) When Paul said that the " Trump " of GOD will sound etc.. the dead in CHRIST shall rise first then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the LORD in the air so we shall ever be with the LORD v. 18 Wherefore, comfort one another with these words. People have called Paul a fool. They say that the TRUMP that he was referring to, was one of the trumpets that John witnessed and wrote about in the book of Revelation. There is a BIG problem with that : ( I learned that Paul AND Nero, who many claim to have been the antichrist, BOTH died MANY years BEFORE John wrote Revelation!! Paul did NOT even KNOW of the book of Revelation. Colin! ) That fact finally clarified it for me. ( Some people think that the idea of the secret " rapture " of the church is a fairly new idea that came about in the last 200 or 300 hundred years ) The " catching up " (rapture, if you will ) ) will NOT be a SECRET . 1 Thessalonians 4 v. 16 : ( The LORD HIMSELF WILL DESCEND FROM HEAVEN WITH A SHOUT WITH THE VOICE OF THE ARCHANGEL AND WITH THE TRUMP OF GOD etc ... ) Non believers may NOT hear the " voice " of the archangel or see the LORD descending from heaven or hear HIS shout. Non believers MAY not hear the TRUMP of GOD, ( scripture doesn't tell us that. ) But, JESUS' " Bride will SEE and HEAR ALL of these things!! The " Church " ( CHRIST'S Bride ) WILL be taken up BEFORE the tribulation period! ( We will enjoy the " Marriage Supper " of the LAMB!! ) The LORD will NOT step HIS foot on this earth at THAT time. ( BELIEVERS will meet HIM in THE AIR ! ) LORD JESUS WILL come to the earth and stand on the Mount of Olives ( Zechariah 14 v. 4. ) THIS will be JESUS' 2nd coming ( to the earth ) In 1 Thessalonians chp. 4 and 5 Paul was speaking to believers when he said chp. 4 v. 18 Comfort one another with these words. In chp. 5 v. 9 Paul said GOD has not appointed us to wrath etc... v. 11 Paul said Comfort one another with these words.

John MacArthur makes a very scriptural argument for pre-tribulation rapture. I’ve said for years, be ready. Every generation until now has met Christ because of death. Regardless of the end of time and return of Christ, be ready.

Nero died in 68 AD. Revelation was written around 95-96 AD. It being written about Nero Wold make no sense. As it would be writing about stuff that happened almost 30 years in the past.
