No harm in replacing fluids early, be it oil, transmission fluid or coolant.
But there is harm in replacing them late.

Getting close to that magic 300, 000 miles. Actual miles on my 2015 Corolla...275, 000. Not a single problem yet.

I have 257K miles on my my 04 camry. I change coolant every 50 k miles. Water pump has been in the car since 90 k miles and it doesn't leak. I use the OEM coolant call for in the owners manual.

The active ingredient in coolants is ethylene glycol so this applies to all vehicles. Just don't use the pink stuff in your Ford or Chevy. You can't mix your OATS.

this applies to all coolant...not just Toyota's

Corolla 1.8 head gasket on my car was not due to a coolant leak. What happened is that the head gasket simply through heating and cooling after 200, 000 miles simply gave away between all four cylinders. There was a leak between cylinder 1 and 2, although the gasket between 2 and 3, as well as 3 and 4 were also deteriorating. The head gasket around the coolant passageway were fine. Fortunately a check engine light illuminated, misfire in cylinder 1, verified by a compression check. No coolant in the cylinder or the oil. Very expensive to fix, most shops advise to replace the motor with a used motor. That is stupid. I did the job myself, in a storage unit. Don't believe me, I have a video with the head gasket on the floor of the storage unit. His advice on changing the coolant is excellent though. I prefer every couple of years.

Please ONLY USE DISTILLED WATER with your Toyota Coolant. Acid water or city water with chlorine or any other contaminants will CORRODE YOUR ENGINE
so please use DISTILLED Water 💧 🙏 with your Toyota pink Coolant only

My wife's 2006 Highlander Hybrid has 193k miles. I replace the engine and inverter coolant myself. The total cost is $26/gal * 3 gallons + a $1.50 crush washer = $79.50. I purchase the pink coolant at my local Toyota dealer here in Oakland, CA. Very easy DIY job.

That's why you get coolant leak and bad coolant thermostat. Now I'll change it every 50k mileage. Great infos...ty! Love all your video guides.

I’m goin to get my radiator coolant on my 2015 lifted Scion xB. And it’s on 81k+ miles on it. And it’s very low but u can still see the coolant. But i definitely need to get them change. Those lasted me since brand new. 7-8 years and I still have some coolant. Hopefully in less than two weeks I’ll get them drained completely, and refill a brand new 2 gallons of Toyota pink coolant.

Once that process is done, the life is good.

I always change my oil every 5k miles. I don’t care what anyone says. I change my AT transmission fluid at 55k miles on. That I was supposed to change between 50k-60k miles. So I’m on the money.

I already change the spark plugs 10k miles early, or 6k miles early. I already change my gas cap at 55k miles on it. So pretty much I did the maintenance way ahead of the schedule.

It’s not truly necessary but I did it and gotta keep on top for maintaining. Got my all four brakss change with new oem replacements by centric rings. Four oem rotors and four ceramic pads and it’s amazing. The serpentine belts still in good condition.

But I think I will get that replace after this winter is over. Or maybe sooner.

My 2015 lifted Scion xB is running beautifully, shifts beautifully, handles well, no noise no vibrations.

Gonna keep my lifted xB forever. Until it gave up on me. Hopefully if I have the money, I’d definitely swap to 3.5L 2GR swap for better reliability. And better hp in a natural way. That’s my dream.

But for now, I enjoy my four banger.

No oil consumption at all. Since I kept it maintain on time.

240k miles on my 2010 4Runner trail edition. No problems out of this vehicle other than a front wheel bearing at 225k miles. This vehicle definitely made me a Toyota fan. Countless off-road trips and family vacations and camping trips. I wish the new generation still had the 1grfe power plant though

Can you show us how to do this exact coolant replace on a 2ARFE on a ‘16 RAV4? I have a feeling it’s so easy that you haven’t felt the need to make a video on it, however all the other videos I found on YouTube are sketchy as heck. Need your advice on this one CCN! 😖 Should be a quick video 😅

Good to know. No one ever explains why. This is valuable information to help you understand and make a decision

Is a drain and fill enough, or add draining the block or a complete flush?
