Показать описание
Reset the maintenance required light in a Toyota after you change your oil so you know when to do your next oil change. This process works on most Toyotas including Camry, Tacoma, Corolla, Avalon, Tundra, Sienna, Rav4, 4Runner, and many more.

Step 1: Turn the car to the "run" position and make sure the odometer is showing (some Toyota's need to be on "Trip A"
Step 2: Hold down the "reset trip" button and shut the car off.
Step 3: Keep holding the "reset trip" button and turn the key to the "run" position.
Step 4: Wait for the "Reset maintenance required" light to shut off and then you are done.

As always, I appreciate your videos so much. I looked at the description and reset the light faster than I could type this comment. You are a gem, thanks for your contribution to everyone and allowing people with no skills to get stuff done, themselves! Earn everything, you’ve earned it all.

I have an older 2010 Toyota and had to select "Trip A" on the odometer rather than the mileage setting. But other than that, worked perfect.

2003 Camry. Thanks so much for making this video & sharing your knowledge. In particular, you did a very professional job on the video itself with the close-ups and extreme closeups. Most content creators would just poke their head inside & catch a few seconds here and there and call it a wrap!

Thank you so much for this! All the other guides were missing the crucial step of being in total milage and holding the button while touring off and back on.
Got my like save sub, even 8 years later.

Thanks for the video. This technique works for most cars regardless of their make and model, but I need to add that it does not necessarily go off when you need an oil change. It can go off for a variety of reasons.

Got the guys at Valvoline to turn off "maintenance required" light at the oil change about 6 months ago. Not sure it was on at the one I got about six weeks ago. Just noticed in a couple of weeks ago. Needed this reminder of what to do exactly to make that light go off. Thank you to you and YouTube.

Very good info to have. Thank you! And what's kinda trippy is that at the instant you switch the key off you will feel the odometer button click just a teeny-tiny bit farther down.. like maybe 1/32 of an inch.. which is probably the feel of it sneaking into that secret little zone that kills the light. Man, who invents this stuff??

Chris you’re a real car guru. This was a big problem solver tho for 2007 Rav-4 you need to set odometer to Trip A.

I like how you explain the steps so well. I looked up another video and they didn't explain it well.

I want to see more videos of simple stuff like this because you make it so easy. Other people make videos like this and it takes them 3 minutes to explain what you did in one minute. They also make it confusing sometimes. Awesome work ChrisFix
If I was sitting in my car and wanted to shut off my service light, this video would be my go-to video because of how fast and easy it was!
