That karate one is really awesome because theres always a certain level of respect karate practitioners have for each other so its nice to see it start so early here.

Another reason is that karate is about more than fighting so even if you take someone whos never fought and someone who is a veteran in fighting in some ways they are both still equals. In theory theyd still be able to make the journey together like we see here

Karate Black Belt here! The first one is awesome. When you start as a White Belt, you may think you’re the bottom rug and an outsider, but most dojos will be more than welcoming and be willing to treat you as equals. I tend to think that way with my peers and students. Helps keep training more enjoyable and a friendly atmosphere to be excited to go to.
