Selective Attention Test

Some AP Psychology students got together and decided to make this video showcasing the power of selective attention. Shout out to Mr. Tennian.

I agree with Penelope. I did successfully count the number of times that Anna jumped the rope while also noticing the woman walk past in the background. However I just thought it was someone in the background wearing a religious head scarf. Just like there were random passers by in the first trial

Got 24 exactly and saw the walking hotdog

I got them, but could not make out that it was a hot dog..I just noticed a person crossing in a funny hat and what looked like a yellow coat? What does it prove?

Yes. I saw him. Maybe because of my ADHD (and my mechanisms to mange / cope the with the initial disability)
I even have noticed that (in my opinion) the cars in the background in the first video were driving really fast.

I counted 24. I did not see a walking hotdog, but however i was thinking: What the fuck is that guy in the background wearing?

I was looking at the man the whole time and didn’t know what he was or what he was doing. I still got the right answer though

i think this was easy for me because you can just observe the rest of the screen as you count seeing the ball or the rope with "side view" or whatever. the cups were up close so i feel it'd be hard to miss anything anyway?

I’ve been working on my selective attention and now I can see other things in the background and still get hits close to the correct number I counted 38 on the first one

I found out it is easier to count if you slightly defocus, and rely on your subconcious.

Got it all, even counted how many red cars passed on Semmes' backgorund

I wasnt able to get the ball and cup thing but I saw the hot dog

I saw the hot dog and guessed the numbers . i figured out the Rythm and used it to count while not looking closely and for the cups one .. i did not even think something can change and i to not figure it out while looking clearly at all 3 cups paying attention to where they all move
