There’s a lot of funny notes from Nasu’s reread of Tsukihime before he got to work on Remake… but none are funnier than his reaction to the date scene.

He was in so much despair rereading that, the fact there was only one BGM the entire time was killing him.

Crazy how Mio only gets a name drop in this one scene that you can easily miss. I guess it's to hide her last name. I have so many theories about it, and her "Natural Enemy" section of her profile in the Material makes it even more interesting when you put it together with the known lore from Kagetsu. Just more reasons to get hyped about Red Garden. Also, you can see Mio's "house" in the background of one of Type Lumina's stages.

Mio was someone I saw on the wiki but there was barely anything on her, and well we don't get much about her in this game, but at the same time I don't know if she's actually a Saiki? It's possible but like. Why was she there to stop Shiki from going into a dark alley when he was like, out of it in a way that was totally different to the usual for Shiki? How come Shiki can't seem to remember this girl? She somehow knows about Shiki's health and how he's going to die in that one bad end you see her in, and she brings up how he can't have a dog. I guess this is Red Garden stuff but I now have a crackpot theory because you mentioned her eyes...

The burger eating scene was from the manga. This is multiple times now tanner has mixed up what he read in the manga as being from the og lmao😅 its funny cuz the Manga additions are just that memorable. They also went to amusement park in the manga which is where the reference to shiki musing on an amusment park comes from

Interesting quirk about Mio, the only time you learn her name in the game is in that scene you just had with her (which is also the last time you can see her in general in this game), that’s where you learn both her first and last name.

Despite this, her last name of Saiki is always dropped in both the Material book and the credits. This might imply that Saiki’s not her birth name or something. It’s similar to how Noel never has Aizome listed in her credits and such.

17:28 TBF in this specific case Shiki's reasoning makes sense, since he knows Arc only travels for "business" and she's only in Japan to kill vampires. Also does anyone know if Japans cinema adverts are different like they are for TV? If the film "started" in 10 mins and they went in 5 mins after, then they should be showing the trailers so they should've been able to go straight in no?

1:09:37 This is actually important and requires understanding some of the nuances of her character. Hime's really a part of Arc so it's not exactly right to view her as isolated though I understand the sentiment. A1's profile mentions she's actually looking forward to the 'change' into Arc(the coincidence in question). Basically what this is saying is that the 'her' after Shiki kills her is how AE should be. It's what she herself 'wants' rather than what was intended for her. The mind of AE as we see with A3 has no autonomy or name of their own as she lacks an identity and the ego&desire that Arc gains after sucking blood and eventually being killed. Her mistake and death is necessary to save AE.

That particular Night the Panther's eyes happened to be the exact same colour as Mio's, it's fur also happens to match Mio's hair colour

I don't think that's a coincidence, and that's not all, the Panther is intelligent, Mio is living on a Rooftop right next to the alleyway where we first saw the Panther, and the Panther *clearly helped* Shiki the night he got attacked by Roa, that's a nuance that isn't easy to pick up on

Shiki fell asleep outside the Mansion, the Panther appeared and the scene cuts to black, and the next thing we know Shiki is waking up in his bed safe and sound

Combine that with our first encounter with the Panther, when Vlov's Ghouls appeared the Panther had the perfect chance to kill Shiki right then and there, but all it did was drag him by the collar, AWAY FROM THE GHOULS, let's go of him and then disappears

IIRC, during the og playthrough, when Arc hit you with the "would you eat creatures as intelligent as you", you just answered something akin to "yeah meat's too good". I have to say that I agree with TannerOfOld.
