You don't necessarily need 24 episodes to get a good idea of what anime is like. I recommend anime movies like A Silent Voice, Grave of Fireflies, Hotarubi no mori e, Wolf Children and I want to eat your pancreas for a first time watch. That's how I got into it anyways, I watched Hotarubi no mori e and by the end of it, I had a very solid idea. 10/10 recommend 👍
